ACW Group Insurance Agency was established in 2009 in Honolulu, Hawaii. ACW was the brainchild of 3 agents with combined over 70 years experience in the property/casualty industry – Russell Akamine, Kirk Christman and Jeffrey Wall.
We managed to parlay years of goodwill and business volume to achieve agency appointments with most of the relevant admitted markets: Fireman’s Fund, First Insurance, Crum & Forster, Island Insurance, Philadelphia Insurance, Zurich, AIG, DTRIC Insurance, CNA and Travelers, just to name a few. Despite the sluggish economy in 2009, we were able to double our in just less than three years and then doubled our premiums again over the next two years. This increased volume allowed us to add additional markets like CHUBB, Hartford, Cincinnati, Great American, Markel, and more, to further enhance our market access for our clientele.
In addition to being the fastest growing agency in Hawaii we have branched out and now have 3 total locations including our home office in Honolulu, plus 2 offices in California:
By year thirteen we became one of the largest insurance agencies in all of Hawaii. We have continually increased our sales and marketing efforts and at the same time acquired several highly motivated agents. We now have more than 20 full time agents across the Western United Sates and write business in many states. Early in 2023 ACW decided to join forces with Alkeme Insurance who is now recognized as the 38th largest privately held Insurance Agency in the United States. As a result of this new partnership, we now have direct access to over 400+ insurance markets serving all 50 states.
