TDW also offers many industry-specific, specialty insurance programs designed around the fields of life sciences, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, home health care, construction (residential and commercial), retail, manufacturing, food and beverage, paratransit services and non-emergency medical transport, and cannabis. TDW strives to provide its clients with not only standard insurance solutions, but with high-quality, alternative market solutions for every business.

Tom Winter - Principal
Tom Winter is the Managing Principal/Owner of TDW Risk Management Associates, LLC. Together with his partners and staff, Tom has helped to create a customer-centric organization dedicated to solving customer’s insurance issues and helping clients manage risk in their pursuit of their own successful business outcomes.
For 38+ years, he’s assisted many “middle-market” corporate clients with their commercial insurance programs as their agent/broker and trusted advisor. Usually, the relationships began with the task of solving a specific problem. With Tom’s expertise, clients were able to realize better outcomes; saving money by obtaining lower premiums, and securing better coverage became their result.
Tom’s clients have come to count on his ability to provide a consistent level of service, honest trustworthy advice, and a genuine concern for their business. Tom has lived by the adage that “the buck stops with me.” After all, most people want to know that you’ll not only “pick up the phone” when called upon, but also that there is someone on the line who is knowledgeable, forthright and can satisfy their needs. Tom’s insurance expertise includes placements for all lines of commercial insurance for clients in the retail space; contracting, manufacturing, distributors, and various commercial property owners to name a few.
In 2019, Tom and his partners became founders of the Alkeme Insurance organization which is now one of the top 100 insurance agencies in the United States. This association is leveraging the intellectual and “insurance” capital of not only TDW, but also of the other agencies who have also joined the organization. Utilizing the latest in technology and managing risk for the 21st Century allows the new “super” agency the ability to grow for the future and to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Tom is an Alumni of the University of Utah and in his free time enjoys spending time with his family and friends; whether skiing, traveling to exotic destinations or lounging poolside.
Terry Dorse - Principal
Terry Dorse is a Principal / Owner TDW Risk Management Associates, LLC Terry currently works with a broad base of clients representing diverse industries. He has developed expertise within the packaging, medical device, biomedical and pharmaceutical industries as well as development of Group and Association programs. He has the added advantage of being associated with Alkeme Insurance Services, LLC; the professionalism and expertise of their agent/owners in these areas provides enhanced leverage in the insurance marketplace.
Terry attended college at Chapman University. At Chapman he took numerous law and management courses which have proved to be invaluable to his career in the insurance industry. He has a broad-based knowledge of the myriad of coverage forms used in the commercial insurance industry. He stays current through enrollment in the Certified Insurance Counselor Program and Associate in Risk Management Program.
His administrative claims analysis knowledge and over 36 years in the insurance industry have proven to be an invaluable tool to his clients. Should a claim occur the hands-on approach has proven to be the most cost-effective method of controlling the claim out-come. Terry and his staff carry the ultimate responsibility for the design and implementation of their clients’ individual risk management and servicing program.
Through the use of educational and loss control measures, Terry has had a great deal of success assisting his clients in reducing their losses and lowering their future insurance costs.
Alfonzo Galvez - Principal
Alfonso Galvez is a Principal/Owner of TDW Risk Management Associates, LLC. With 30 years in the Property and Casualty and Risk Management Industry, Alfonso Galvez brings an abundance of experience and resources to every organization he has had a privilege to be a part of.
Alfonso began his Insurance career in 1986 as a Personal Lines Property Claims Adjuster with Farmers Insurance Company. Thereafter, Alfonso joined Continental Insurance Company as a Commercial Insurance Underwriter. In 1989 Alfonso joined Chubb Insurance Company and continued his carriers as an Underwriter working on a variety of national and international accounts including the Insurance placement throughout Europe, South America and Asia. Alfonso’s final stop with Chubb was in San Diego where he served in leadership roles as both the Commercial Lines Unit Manager and Marketing Manager. Alfonso also had the privilege to work for Philadelphia Insurance Company as the Southern California Regional Manager.
Alfonso has been a Commercial Lines Insurance Broker for over 20 years. In his role as an Insurance Broker Alfonso specialized in addressing the myriad of complex exposures and issues for a variety of organizations including the Home healthcare, Environmental, Manufacturing, Technology and Non-Profits.
Alfonso earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis on International Relations from California State University, Fullerton. Alfonso is involved with a number of non-profits and serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Hospice Foundation. Married to wife Susan and proud father of his two daughters and a son, Alfonso divides his free time between community service and various sporting activities.
